I can't say enough great things about share in the EV. My boyfriend and I went to dinner there about two or three weeks ago and it was honestly one of the loveliest, most delicious dinners I've had in a long, long time. Our server was knowledgeable w/o being haughty, approachable but not cloying. Most importantly, she paced the meal perfectly. We had wonderful skate w/ baby artichoke barigoule that was sensational-I really wanted it all for myself. The cauliflower risotto was decadent; a big-flavored, yummy dish. We also both tried sweetbreads for the first time there and they were good. They tasted of fried, so maybe that was a simple conduit for us to first experience them.
The look of share is cozy and romantic. And, small. Definitely not a group spot. It has an understated, "of the earth" feel to it.
The wine list is fine. I didn't have anything that knocked my socks off or worth recommending here but nothing undrinkable either (not a rave review, I know).
Concept restaurants tend to receive an up-raised brow and a quick dismissal. However, I believe share pulls it off w/ resounding success.
