Wanted to go to Rasraj for their light lunch fare and freshly squeezed sugarcane juice. But my lunch partners found no seats at Rasraj and I ended up being dragged to Shan.
It says Hyderabadi cuisine on the restaurant, but this is Hyderabad as in Pakistan, NOT as in India. Their lunch buffet is quite extensive (I don't know the price, as I did not pay for it) - perhaps about 15 dishes. Many Pakistani dishes like Nihari, Halim, Paya etc.
While it was not as greasy as I remembered it to be from my last visit several years ago, it was still a bit on the overspicy and greasy side. I will not go there on my own, but if I end up there, not as bad as I had made a mental image of it.
One at our table had the whole fried Tilapiya - she said it tasted good. Perhaps that is what I should have had instead of the buffet lunch. Live and learn!
