Shagun Fine Indian Cuisine, Really?

Bacchus101 | May 22, 201504:55 AM

There are those on this board who have a very good knowledge of Indian cuisine. My knowledge is experienced based only in that I have excellent Indian food in a number of cities here and abroad. It is in that context that I will say my take out from Shagun was by far the most disappointing experience. Of Chicken Curry, Aloo Gobi and Lemon Coriander Soup, and Balsamic Rice the only thing that was not tossed after one taste was the rice. The chicken was extremely over cooked, hard and dry in a thin, lumpy, tasteless sauce, the Aloo Gobi was undercooked squares of potato and cauliflower with no taste at all. Perhaps the soup was as it should be as I have never had it before, but I could not eat it. Perhaps my mistake as I had noticed there was a set up for a buffet which for me is usually a tip off that the food is not cooked fresh to order. Was my take out buffet left overs as it was picked up early evening? One other food website offered good customer reviews which is indeed vexing. If you know fine Indian cuisine, this is not it. If you are looking to experience Indian for the first time, this is not it. If you have been here and love it, god bless you; people need jobs.
