There was a brief mention in another topic about this bar near Lincoln Park Golf Course. Googling around it seems that it changed owners about a year ago and is now run by a husband/wife and her brother.
They spiffed it up ... painted and remodeled. I think they have a back patio with picnic tables. The husband, Paul, does the cooking and the brief menu looks interesting ...
Bronx Bombers Chicken Wings with Ring of Fire BBQ Glaze and Homemade Chips
Calamari with Grain Mustard Aioli and Grated Horseradish Cocktail
Paul's Pisano Margarita Pizza
Billy Baroo Burger with Homemade Chips or Fries
Turkey Melt with Homemade Chips or Fries
Paul's Crafty Mac & Cheese with Pancetta and Spinach Salad
Pulled Pork Sandwich with Coleslaw and Fries
Louisiana-style Gumbo over Rice with Cornbread
Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Vegetables
There's also a daily special.
Guy Fieri did a recent show about them. Don't know if it has aired yet.
Don't know how often this stuff is available or if it is a special, but other items mentioned include fish and chips, chicken fried steak, fried chicken. The catsup is housemade. I think the menu changes weekly.
They also have darts, pool, ping-pong, shuffle board, Mrs. Pac-Man and other bar games like dice. Thursday is trivia night. They will let your dog on the patio.
So what about it? Who's tried it since the new owners took over?
