Review of a mediocre Chinese restaurant in Lafayette appeared in SF Chronicle today. No idea why it deserved any newsprint at all but the author (Aaron Wehner) did credit Chowhound in his opening line:
"Although the bulk of the postings on the diners' Web site chowound.com cover spots west of the tunnel, a few message chains wind their way through Contra Costa, debating the merits of the fried chicken at Casa Orinda or hunting for the best Afghan cuisine. One very short message caught my attention: "fantastic homemade spring rolls" at Hong Kong Villa in Lafayette. The post was more than a year old, but I thought, once a good spring roll, surely always a good spring roll..."
