1. I've googled for recipes for savory protein bars that *don't* rely on nuts or nut butters for their savory-ness. Found a recipe for a cheese-based one and for an olive-and-sun-dried tomato one; both fit the bill. That said, I've not found any other recipes of use.
....... If you can guide me -- either to specific recipes or to other search terms that will lead me to additional recipes -- I'd be grateful.
2. Could I adapt a chicken-grain-veg casserole (a very dry one) to this purpose? (I realize that refrigeration or freezing will be necessary.)
....... Basically, I want a pan full of something healthful and tasty that I can cut into rectangles, freeze, grab in the morning, and (because it will be defrosting gradually) eat safely a few hours later.
Any other thoughts, ideas, inspirations appreciatively received. Thank you.
