In the far reaches of France I used to get religieuse. They are a large ball-shaped pastry with a smaller sized orb on top. They get their name due from nuns, and if you look at one hard enough, it might resemble a nun. I usually ate them too quickly to ponder their shape. The ones au chocolat are so good. They are round eclairs basically. Has anyone seen these in NY, preferably downtown or on the westside?
