My wife and I are interested in sampling some high quality cavier as part of our New Years Eve dinner. However, we know very little about it, except for the raw basics. Can anyone help on short notice? Need to know if there are better (i.e., more reasonable) places to purchase cavier other than the usual suspects (e.g., Binnys, Sams Club, Marshall Fields, etc.). Also, is the cost increase between say American Cavier and Beluga really worth it? How much is good for two as a good appetizer? Any advice is much appreciated.
