Sea Harbour Cafe

Sea Harbour has opened a great Chinese cafe-style restaurant on Valley Blvd, east of Del Mar Ave. Menu here is more upscale than other cafes, and much more expensive. Everything we ordered was a hit. We had 2 noodle dishes: beef chow fun ($8.95) and yee mein with 2 mushrooms ($8.95). Both came out sizzling on a hot plate, both VERY good. Also ordered a house speciality, roasted squab with salad ($12.95). A bit overdone as the breast was a little dry, but still lip-smackingly good enough that pieces were picked clean. Red bean special drink ($3.75) was great, not watered down like at other places. My mom previously ordered their hainan chicken dish ($10?) and announced it one of the best cafe versions she's had.

Really enjoyed this restaurant, and will definitely be back. At ~$8-$10 per dish, it's almost double the price of other cafe menus but IMO, the price difference is worth it. (FYI, there are cheaper specials during the late afternoon.)
