Drank some 14year old Oban with the seasonal pumpkin cake donut from Krispy Kreme. Excellent match. Just as the initial subtle pinpoint sweetness from the Scotch disappears, the heavy dount sweetness kicks in. Pumpkin and fall/winter spice flavours of the donut weave nicely into the woodsy and faintly smoky flavour of the scotch. And the dry finish from the scotch takes away the usual cloying sweetness of KK donuts.
