Save Your Favorite Online Recipes on Chowhound

The Chowhound Team | Oct 5, 201804:25 PM     3

Hi all,

We’d like to share a new feature test with you and we’re eager for your feedback.

Chowhounds have always shared recipes from many websites including Ina Garten, Martha Stewart, Epicurious and many others that deliver inspiration for tonight’s menu. We’ve started to detect those links in discussions and organize them in a new “Discussion Summary” box.

You’ll now have the option to save your favorite online recipes to your Chowhound profile directly from the discussions where they are shared.

Once you have saved a recipe, you will find it on your profile under My Saved Recipes. We plan to improve these designs to make them easier to scan soon.

Give it a go! We'd love to hear your comments and suggestions, and if you have any issues, let us know—we're here to help. If you’re looking for recipes worth saving, join in on the Dish of the Month tradition, where many recipes are shared. Here are a few discussions to get you started:
— October Dish of the Month: https://www.chowhound.com/post/dish-m...
— September Dish of the Month: https://www.chowhound.com/post/panzan...
— More Dish of the Month discussions: https://www.chowhound.com/tag/dish-of...

To start, we expect you’ll find a few false positives that are not actually valid recipe links. We’ll work on cleaning those up quickly and minimizing them going forward.

We’ve heard many are looking for a replacement for tools from sites like the NYTimes, allowing you to save recipes directly to your profile, so we plan to keep that in mind as we continue to improve this feature.

Thanks,

The Chowhound Team
