Saturday Sushi Lunch West of O’Hare

G Wiv | Jan 24, 200309:36 PM

I could use a spot of assistance, a friend from Indiana and I will be in the land beyond O’Hare (Arlington Heights) tomorrow at lunchtime, sushi is on the menu, and I could use a few suggestions. We will not have time to drive into the city for lunch or I would take him to Tampopo, where Ellen and I had dinner tonight, excellent as usual. I thought about taking him to True World or Mitsuwa, but as this is his first time eating sushi a little ambiance might be nice.

Actually, if ambiance were not a (very small) issue we could simply go to Bowl House or the small café on Golf East of Arlington Heights Road, the one that is affiliated with True World. (I forgot the name.) I was planning on Kampai, but they are not open for lunch on Saturday’s, and Kitakata, which is open, does not have sushi.

I am out of ideas, aside from driving 85mph to Tampopo and back, suggestions appreciated.
