Saturday lunch in Florence

margaretmerle | Oct 14, 201502:04 PM     12

I will take the train to and from Florence on a Saturday next month (November). I have been there many times--just want to see an exhibit and wander a bit. My return to Rome is at 8:30, so no time for a nice dinner. Instead, I'd like to have a really nice middle of the day lunch in a place where I can eat well and also sit and read a bit--perhaps a restaurant in a hotel? I usually tend towards the rustic and less fancy but don't mind a splurge, especially since I won't be drinking more than a glass of wine! (Also, anywhere for a pre train bite? I thought of visiting Zeb and getting something to go.)
