Santoka Ramen (now in Costa Mesa, but is coming to Torrance...)

This may sound like shameless shilling, but trust me, I'm not connected with the place (aside from driving down to O.C. every week just to eat there sheesh). After living in Japan and being forced to content myself with woefully anemic ramen in Los Angeles for the past few years, I have to say that I am truly excited that Santoka Ramen will be opening a branch at the Torrance Mitsuwa next month. If you've tried the one in Costa Mesa you know what I mean. Hands down, it's the best ramen I've had this side of the Pacific (and yes, that includes Daikokuya and Shin Sen Gumi). They're a Hokkaido-based chain that serves a really distinctive shio-tonkotsu ramen... taste it and you'll barely BEGIN to understand the potential of how good ramen can be...
