Santa Rosa's Taste of Japan

RK | May 1, 2006 09:04 PM

Thanks to Stephanie and Cynthia for letting us all know about a Taste of Japan in Santa Rosa. I purchased lunch there today and it was terrific, and at very reasonable prices.

I'll reiterate some of what has been said.

Fresh Sushi lunch to go 11:00-1:00 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's only. The chef, Takeshi Uchida, is turning out some of the best Sushi out of the kitchen of the Oddfellows Hall across the street from the Junior College. I had the Sushi combination today and it was fantastic. Everything is made to order with great detail. The tuna was silky smooth, the salmon, which is not one of my favorites, was wonderfully smooth also. The egg omelet, and the crunchy seaweed salad was very good, and was not just a afterthought. The whole meal was just great, and just $6.95 out the door. The picture looks good, but it does not do justice to how it tasted.
