San Mateo: Romolo's superb spumoni and perfect pomegranate sorbet

Thought I'd see what the pumpkin ice cream is like here ... not a smart move the day after Halloween. They were out of pumpkin.

Got a taste of the spumoni which was everything spumoni should be. The green pistachio intensely flavored, the chocolate flavor deep and the cherry delicious.

Also had a taste of the pmegranate sorbet which was so refreshing and tasty. What is really nice is seeing the pomegranates on the counter waiting to be turned into the next batch of sorbet. This was my first taste of Romolo's ice cream and it one of the best in the Bay Area

Finally tried the rightly praised canoli. Just a few of the many positive reports over the years
