The Berryessa Flea Market is a world onto itself..a self contained village of commerce with named streets and addresses to tame its out of control vastness. Produce Row seems to go on forever and many wonderful items are worth checking out. Whole jicima, cactus leaves, untold varieties of chiles, dried fuits, and flavored nuts are just a short list of what is available. Produce here is much cheaper than in supermarkets and fresher looking. Also there are a good number of food stalls. We ate at the Kabob house and I really enjoyed my chicken shwarma which was wrapped in grilled pita (hooray) and dripping with paprika stained juices that made mopping up a real pleasure.
