SAKURA on Centinela

Well, I tried this Japanese restaurant after reading a rec here on Chowhound. This is the first time I've been steered wrong on this board. All I can say is YUCK!

The restaurant is in an iffy location to begin with. The ambience is awful.....plastic tablecloths and linoleum, verrrrry old and very dingy. The tempura was greasy and oil soaked, and the spicy tuna was neither spicy nor even remotely tuna-esque. Our bill for mother and child was 58 dollars without alcohol. Alcohol was just what I needed after this. The Norm's of sushi. Oh well, you win some, lose some. Next to try: Al Gelato.

BEWARE SAKURA!
