Just wanted to mention this place that just opened up about 10 days ago. Obviously, you may want to give them a bit more time to get up to speed, but the two meals I've had there so far were both well-prepared and well-served. The ingredients are very fresh and the prices are on the low side considering. Had a couple dozen oysters ($7.50/doz) to start and the shucker, Michael, is the real deal (for those of you who know what a difference that makes). Had some seafood gumbo ($4.50/cup $8/bowl) the first visit, which I thought was very good. They have some nice salads too: blackened calamari ($9.50), tuna steak salad ($12.75) and shrimp remoulade ($10.50). They claim crabmeat pie ($16.95) and blackened shrimp fettucini ($13.95) among their specialties. Though I haven't had one, they also have po'boys and and seafood platters, grilled burgers, etc. The owner, Adam, is very personable and definitely keyed into what's coming out of the kitchen. Btw, the atmosphere is casual, warm and I'd feel completely cool with just stopping in for an app and drink. I'll be headed back regularly.
