Little Saigon Chowhound Dinner

Before the holidays, Sandra W and I canvassed a number of restaurants in Westminster's Little Saigon to find one most suitable for a group dinner in January or early February. Many thanks are due to Sandra for the meticulous research which led us to some rather tasty discoveries. We decided on Brodard (thanks for the lead, Thi), whose name sounded distinctly un-Vietnamese but whose food certainly IS, at 9892 Westminster Ave., #R, officially listed in Garden Grove (Little Saigon straddles the two citys' borders). A CalendarLive excerpt about the restaurant, including map directions, is linked below.

My question to you, interested 'hounds, is WHEN? Would you prefer a weeknight or weekend dinner, or a weekend brunch? Sandra and I ate there during a weekend lunch hour and it was pretty packed, but I don't imagine it would be much different on a weekend evening. It's likely that the crowds would be off a bit during the week, but that consideration alone won't make or break the deal.

I invite any and all to contribute their opinions and ask questions as we build toward this event. Details will be posted as they're formalized. I look forward to breaking chopsticks with many of you when we convene.
