Saffron Questions

zackly | Jun 23, 202005:12 AM     22

I don't use a lot of saffron but I do keep it on hand mostly for one pot rice or potato dishes and butter based seafood sauces. I think I've always bought fairly high quality saffron but I'm wondering if I can get pretty much the same results, color and taste, with a cheaper form? I know there are many lesser grades of saffron but I'm unfamiliar with them. I've bought this one before from Costco which I think is pretty high quality (Is it?) and fairly priced but I'd like to find something good and cheaper if it exists. Thank you!
