Just purchased my first package of SAF Red instant yeast. I've baked yeast breads and rolls forever, but never with this yeast. I used it for the first time this am to make this bread:
I used my bread machine to make the dough, then let it rise in a bread pan, and baked it in the oven. Great second rise in the pan and great oven spring. I like this yeast! I'm gonna send some home with a colleague so her bread-baking husband can try it.
Is this the yeast you experienced bread bakers use?
Anyone use the Gold SAF yeast which is designed for sweet doughs?
p.s. The Pecan Wheat Bread tastes wonderful!
