Russian River/Sonoma Coast Wineries and Restaurants

Hello,

My husband and I along with another couple will be visiting the Russian River (2 nights) and Sonoma coast (3 nights) in April. We're looking to discover some wineries that offer a unique tasting experience, and to find wines we can't buy at home. Small production, family owned tastings are what we'd like to find. We enjoy all reds, but especially zins, Syrah, blends and cabs. We're really open to any varietals, but just would like to experience something off the beaten path. We're also willing to drive, so even if it's out of the way we're open to traveling to find something different.

Also looking for great dinner spots. We'd like to do one or two "nice" dinners and then possibly find some more casual places with laid back, fun atmosphere, but high quality food. We enjoy local farm to table fare which I know is abundant in this area.
