I admit, I was _starving_ when I ate this, so maybe that made it better, but damn, I had a fine slice of pie at Rosario's, the Italian food store on 31st St. under the Ditmars N stop. It was pretty old-school generic NYC pizza (not the upscale sit-down classy pie type, but the takeout type you can only seem to get in Jersey anymore), but with really good mozzarella, and not too much sauce.
You'd never know they even sell pizza, if you didn't really register the chalkboard sign out front--you can't see it anywhere once you're inside. You just have to ask at the counter.
And otherwise it's a great store--tons of European cheeses, lots of meats, fancy butters (though I wonder about the turnover on those), even (so I hear) burrata imported overnight from Italy.
