Went to Rok:Brgr tonight with several friends and it gets my stamp of approval. around the table we had:
The Classic Burger, the Rok:Brgr, the Las Olas Burger, the D Wade Burger, the FreeBird (turkey) burger, the Mediterranean (lamb) burger, and the Lobster Mac n Cheese.
(for descriptions: http://www.rokbrgr.com/eat.html)
personally i ordered the Mediterranean Burger, and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked, very juicy, the cucumber yogurt sauce was great, good brioche bun, and the fries it came with were crisp and well seasoned. the only burger i didnt get to try was the Las Olas, she ordered it Well Done (much to the table's dismay) so my opinion would have been skewed anyways. but similar reviews for all the other dishes. Also, the lobster mac was creamy, smooth, cheesy, with no seafood skimping to be seen.
only two slight knocks:
was there a few days ago, and the poutine was not my favorite. my friend from canada was there with us and he also told us it wasnt incredibly authentic tasting? but i wouldnt know.
also, the wait was a little longer than i would have liked. but our server was very nice and helpful (she even split checks which we forgot to request at the beginning... which ya dont see very often around here!)
really enjoyed this meal overall. will be bringing a new group of friends back soon.
