My Chinese parents who aren't always big fans of French cuisine actually said that Robushon changed their view of French food for the better. They've eaten at many fine French restaurants over the years. Instead of being complicated and over-produced or too rich and heavy fare, this was light and flavorful with great balance.

The bread cart was a huge hit -- with the baguette with lardons being the biggest hit (with everyone but the seafood veggie in the group). I was pleasantly suprised by the wine list -- there were actually quite a few bottles under $100.

We had the 6 course tasting. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the pumpkin soup with shaved white truffles (served in a mini-pumpkin.)It was just the right amount of food. The petit fours cart was also fun.

Delicious meal. Excellent service. REALLY expensive. For 5 people, about $1000 before tip.
