My friend the chocolate fanatic was able to get a bunch of us into the reception held by Richart last night at their new SF. Yum, super high-end chocolates and champagne. The shop is on Sutter, directly across from the Sutter/Stockton garage.
Definitely the most seriously intense stuff with all sorts of flavors. IMO, they do the best bergamot ganache and rose ganache out there. The cinnamon ganache was interesting too. It was quite a varied crowd of clearly true chocolate fanatics and society types. I like Michael R's stuff, but it isn't to this level (at least not yet).
