We are about to head off for a return week visiting Munich having really enjoyed our last stay there. https://www.chowhound.com/post/munich...

Since it’s been 7 years wondering if there are new or different recommendations. We will be staying in an apartment in the Au neighborhood and I am seeing the Wirthaus in der Au, Keko (Turkish), Kuchlverzeichnis, and Chopan (afghan), any feedback on options in this general area?

Looking forward to returning to Der Pschorr and Spatenhaus an der Oper as well as trying something new to us, either for lunch or dinner, any recommendations? We will also be taking side trips to Regensburg and, probably Augsburg so recommendations in those places, beyond sausage vendors, would be very welcome.

Lastly, are there any new sources of online restaurant info that are interesting or reliable on Munich or Germany generally?

Note, we will be spending time in Vienna, with a brief stop in Salzburg and then 2 weeks in Italy if that is relevant. I’m posting a separate query on Vienna.

Munich - Looking for approach to eating there
