After seeing some earlier reports we considered cancelling our reservation and going elsewhere. Fortunately we did not, and we had an excellent meal with excellent service. Between the four of us, we had pumpkin soup, seafood salad and pate for appetizers. Two of us had saddle of lamb, one had monkfish and the other had the chicken w/shepherd's pie. For dessert we had tiramisu, and creme brule, which was outta sight!
We were fortunate, perhaps, in being seated upstairs, in the main dining room, where we had the waitstaff from Le Bec Fin to attend to our needs, which they did with their customary efficiency and charm.
There were two oversights; apparently the decaffinated coffee got confused with the hi-octane stuff and my wife was up all night. Also, the waitstaff did not provide the proper parking voucher so I got stuck paying $13.50 instead of the $8.50 I had expected to shell out.
We all vowed that we would return, in fact, we were ready to return that very night just for the creme brule!
