Report on Tong Dumpling, San Jose & Thanks CH

Reuel | Dec 26, 200509:51 PM     1

Another memorable meal thanks to the Chowhounds. After various reports here on CH, we had lunch today at Tong Dumpling Pot, 6184 Bollinger Rd., San Jose. We shared two lunch specials: A1) Three Deluxe (pork & shrimp & chive) which includes 12 juicy dumplings served with real green tea; a starter of your choice (we had the spicy seaweed) and a bowl of hot & sour soup, $5.95. And C1) Zha Jiang Mian, a bowl of delicious fresh noodles with sprouts, cukes and a modest sauce of ground pork, served with the same sides, $6.95.

This food was fresh, delicous and inexpensive. The restaurant is small and the service was attentive and polite. I thought it was lunch, but, here I am at 7:30pm and I am still not hungry. I like this place a lot and will definitely return, thanks CH and Happy Holidaze to All, Reuel.
