Report on the Real Deal - Elsmere DE

Last night I got take out from this relatively new Jamaican restaurant. There is a small dining room on site but the place seems geared toward takeout. I got beef pattie, plantains, goat curry, brown stew (chicken), beans and rice, and cabbage. All of it was good - very much like home cooking. The meats were particularly tasty and juicy. The cabbage with veggies was also tasty. The patties are not made on site - the are bought from a supplier and cooked on site. None the less they were very good and the crust was not at all soggy even though it was 3 hours until they were eaten.
The menu includes oxtails, fish curry, shrimp curry, brown stew fish and jerk chicken. Prices are reasonable. The total for my order, which was way more than enough for two, was $16.
I my opinion this is the best of the local Jamacian places that I have tried.
