Good selection of special dimsum. I liked the crispy roast pork with the crackling skin and tasty meat beneath it. Pork rib in a sweet dry rub seasonings was also a hit. Curry beef and tendons were also good. Fried tofu had soft curds inside-good. The standards such as shrimp dumplings, shark fin dumpling, siu mai, sticky rice were all decent but nothing outstanding IMO. Overall, a great dimsum place. Price is also not skyrocket as 4 of us had lots of dishes for only like $80 total
XLB was not great. Little soup and the fillings were not tasty enough for me. Shanghai style noodle also lacking in flavor. Wontons were subpar. They do make GREAT fried rice that is among the BEST in Bay Area I had. Lots of eggs, shrimps and very tasty. This alone is worth another visit.
Fried rice was a hit here - delicious. We had the OSHA fried rice but had to pay extra for shrimp and chicken. Tom Yam soup was not good here. Fish cake was excellent. Papaya salad is not my favorite dish and I don't think this place made a great version IMO. Green curry chicken was allright - too sweet and lacking the depth of flavor with overpowering coconut milk. We had their fried chow fun (kerr something) that was really great. Good thai coffee. Service is also v. good. This is a gem in my book. Lots of possibilities for sure.
Any other dishes worthy of trying ?
