Report on dinner with Service Dog

Thanks to all for your great recs- we ended up going to Cosmopolitan. They had an early bird special thing, $25 for salad, entree and dessert. I had a caesar salad with delicious polenta croutons, salmon (cooked perfectly with lotsa pink) in a wasabi pea sauce, which was very tasty, and german choc cake w/banana gelato, which was just ok.

Best of all, they were sooo nice about the dog. We told them when we came in that we had a service dog with us, and they said fine, seated us wherever we liked (which they're required to do by law), and even cooed over the dog and brought him water. He sat on my friend's lap during the meal.

Unfortunately, during the meal my friend had a small seizure (which is why she has the service dog), and of course, some guy at the next table saw the dog at exactly this point and started making obnoxious comments ("what the hell is that dog doing in here?"), which made her feel awful on top of having a seizure. But stuff happens, I guess.

Anyway, I was so appreciative of how well we were treated by the staff at Cosmopolitan, I thanked them profusely and left a very generous tip.

Cheers,
Amy
