Noticed the place as I drove in the back way to the shopping complex
at County Line Rd and made a note to check it out for lunch the next day.

Strong smell of smoke outside that was maintained indoors...the smoker is behind the bar and they had it open so you could see all the meats.

I ordered a 2-meat combo with beef and ribs. First bite of brisket was encouraging...definite smoke ring, nice texture, decent smoke flavor.
It was topped with their red sauce, but they have 3 others in addition to the red at the table, and all were pretty good if not stellar.

The 2 pork ribs were wonderful. BIG, meaty and juicy...just the right fat to meat ratio. Flavor was good, if not as smoky as the beef. When I returned to the brisket it seemed a bit dry compared to the succulent ribs.

Side dishes were good too. While the slaw might have been (very good) commercial, the beans were definitely homemade...lots of bits of BBQ meat and fowl and some onions with absolutely no trace of nasty green bell pepper that finds its way into so many versions of baked beans.

I'll definitely return, but will probably stick with just ribs from now on...they were that good.
