report on Apertivo ("tapas" and wine bar) - San Diego

It calls itself an Italian "tapas" and wine bar. Think small plates and moderate wine selection and you'll get a good idea.

Just ate there & split small plates with a friend. The cesear salad was great. The shrimp with prosuitto was o.k. (shrimp were a bit tough to my tastes). Grilled portabella - yum. Linguini with clams - tasty if a bit oily. Chocolate mousse pie - outstanding. Had decent wine too.

The prices were refreshingly low compared to it's "wine bar" competitors and the food and wine we had was better than most.

A nice addition. In North Park, on 30th near University.
