Report on Akbar, Columbia MD

Andy | Mar 16, 2004 08:37 AM

Had dinner at Akbar (Indian Cusine) yesterday night with 5 others. The food wad really tasty and spicy as well. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Xicutti, Chicken Madras, Channa and Shrimp Jalfrezi. I personally tasted the Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Xicutti and both were very well prepared. We had a nice time talking for almost a couple of hours and the wait staff was very friendly and didn't rush us into ordering, however it was not all that crowded either being a Monday. The rice was tasty with various fragrances and spices in them. The wait staff suggested that we go with a bread basket and the bread was very soft and tasty.

From the response from other people all the dishes that we ordered were excellant and we did not have room for dessert. Only problem is that it is almost 40 minutes drive from my house, even then would surely go try it again.
