Renting Bologna Apartment for Two Weeks...Need Advice

yanks26dmb | May 17, 201507:35 AM     9

Hi...will be arriving in Bologna next week and staying for roughly 2 weeks. Very excited to have access to a full kitchen. I would really like to find some authentic recipes relying on local ingredients, rather than making the same old American-Italian food I prepare back home.

Any good Italian/Emilia Romagna food blogs, websites, or other resources anyone knows? Italian language is fine - I can translate with Google.

Also, any recommendations of things to look for in the markets/specialty food stores this time of year? Perhaps some things I cannot get at home (I'm from San Diego, California).

Lastly, I'm debating on a cooking/pasta making class while I'm there...although at 160ish euro for 4.5 hours, it seems a bit pricy. Anyone have any suggestions in this regard?

Thank you all so much!
