There are some great topics already on this board about making red wine vinegar at home. I've been successfully making my own red wine vinegar for almost a year now using many of the suggestions I've found here.
The two jars I have going currently produce many new mothers during the period that I let them sit. Can I use these red wine vinegar mothers for other things besides starting new batches of red wine vinegar?
What will happen if I add different types of alcohol other than red wine? Or maybe a mixture of other alcohol and other liquids?
I'm mostly just looking to experiment and hoping to hear some success/failure stories of others here on CH.
