Saturday morning I chose my coffee stop more carefully . . . this time heading to downtown Los Altos to try Red Berry Coffee Bar. It features beans from a variety of third wave roasters.

Scanning the selection of roasters available this morning, Case from Ashland Oregon was the one new to me.

Ordered as a pourover, the Case brew was fruity, zingy with acidity, and for me, needed a touch of sugar to be enjoyable. Sorry, I did not note the name of the blend. The lightness and brightness of this coffee made it a good accompaniment for the buttery apple lattice pastry.

I did not notice the cold brews dripping along the back wall until after I'd placed my order or I might have tried one instead. While I did not tempt fate by trying to get a cappuccino, I have a feeling that this shop might know how to make microfoam.

Who else has been here?
