Short notice: I'll be leaving for Singapore in about 52 hours from LA. I've read through the boards and have compiled a list of restaurants. Unfortunately, many of the posts are over a year old. If you've got up to date recommendations for Singapore, I'd love to hear them.
Here are my general chow guidelines:
Avoid hotel restaurants
Hit lunches in hawker centers
Do dinners for less than $50USD for two w/o alcohol
I'll be staying at the Stamford for 3 days, but will be travelling around the major tourist sites.
Specific things I am interested in:
Good Hawker Centers with highlights for the center
Indian in Little India
Restaurants serving the standards of Singapore cuisine (i.e. Roti, Chili Crab)
And, if your recommending a specific restaurant, the best dishes on the menu are always appreciated.
