My best friend from Boston is coming to town in two weeks and has begged me to take her to SF Chinatown for a good meal. Having only lived in the Bay Area for a year and a half, I haven't ventured much into SF Chinatown; so far, I've been content with the riches here in the East Bay.
So I really need a recommendation for a great place to lunch in SF Chinatown. It doesn't have to be fancy, just looking for tasty chow. The only memorable place I've tried is Louie's (but it seems a bit too quiet for two people). From the boards, it looks like Great Eastern is a good place? Any other suggestions? And any specific recommendations on what to order?
My friend's mom is a chef, so she's used to good food. I don't want to let her down =) Please help!
