I have a terrible habit of drinking 1 drink too many, and insisting that my husband and I get Thai take out from the nearby decent but overpriced thai restaurant. I'd like to start making things a bit more exciting than red curry at home. Any good books that you can recommend? Here is the catch: my husband does not eat meat or seafood. I have a silly but very strong phobia towards eating fresh arthropods, so shrimp/lobsters/crab are out. Fish, fish sauce, and probably even dried shrimps are ok. We live in east london, and have easy access to vietnamese supermarkets, so some more specialized ingredients might be accessible.
