For Barese (at least the soup is described as Barese) try Caro Mio, on Wilson and Wolcott, next door to Sabor a Cuba. They have a pasta and potato soup that is described as a little bit creamy that is fantastic. The lunch specials I've tried have been really good. A normally taciturn Nova Scotian in my group on the inaugural visit described the Barese soup as "chowdery". When I asked the waiter if there was pancetta (hadn't seen any) flavoring the soup, he said no, they "golden" the pasta, which gives it that rich flavor.

Will have to make a return visit to Moon Palace--haven't been since it moved. Fond memories of the dumplings, though.
