Rasa Malaysia (was Merlion)

LulusMom | Mar 23, 201605:23 AM     1

Lulu and I were on our own for dinner last night, and decided to try the re-opened and renamed Rasa Malaysia (used to be Merlion) in Southern Village. They've gussied up a the room slightly, but the menu is mostly the same. It was just the two of us, so we didnt' get to try much of the menu, but what we did have was back to the standards it had been at a few years ago (things had fallen a bit in recent times). Curried samosas now come in both meat and vegetarian varieties, and are both good. And the tofu coconut curry (think this is what it was called) was very tasty. It was fairly empty when we got there around 5:30, but by 6:45 had almost filled up.

I thought we all needed some positive restaurant news after all the closings of the past day or two.
