Rangkat, Sindaloo Salt, and Herb Bheda: Oddments I found at the Indian market

Dylan | Jul 10, 200403:33 PM     4

I bought these items at an Indian market - they looked mysterious and I've course I've never seen them in any recipe before. The Rangkat powder is perhaps the most foul tasting stuff I've ever experienced - even a few grains of the stuff are impossible to swallow.

Searches on the internet reveal virtually no references for these items, certainly no recipes. And I've never seen them in my extensive collection of cookbooks.

Anyone know what they are?
