Or so said one of the employees at their W. Thomas location, where I decided to take a Sunday drive. The place was a zoo yesterday, but fun.
At some ethinc markets (and some chain markets depending on location) you wonder about the freshness of meat/fish, etc. but this place is so busy that the stock is continually turned over. I can't recall a butcher having more of a selection and their food court is amazing. Plus most of the stuff is being made right in front of you... hot fresh tortillas, etc. Some people like going to Ikea just for the heck of it. I think the Ranch markets (and Lee Lee's) are entertainment destinations for foodies.
I drove by the new store on the way home. It looks big and is right near the 10/202/51 merger - 16th Street & Roosevelt. Only 7 miles from my place on the Scottsdale/Tempe border. I'll check later this week to see if it has indeed opened on schedule.
