Lunch was very good.
fresh hot hard rolls w/butter
choice of 2 appetizers: chilled cucumber soup or beefsteak tomato with bacon salad.
the cucumber soup was awesome and something I never would have ordered, so this was the perfect opportunity to try; cool cucumber base hints of lime and hot peppers and bits of apple and slivered almonds. the fresh tomato salad was excellent, but I think I could replicate it myself.
main: choice of salmon over sweet corn/peppers/thai basil or chicken quarter over veggie/potato something.
salmon was the way to go-excellent. chicken was nothing special.
dessert: buttermilk cake with creme fracise and fresh blueberries, very nice finish.
house chardonnay / or cab $5.
The restaurant was packed, but the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, service was friendly and professional.
