Radicchio Philadelphia Pa

I searched for a thread on this restaurant but could not find one. We have been coming here for several years but it had been about a year since we were here.
For us Radicchio is everything you want in a Italian cafe. Its small but on a nice day has plenty of outdoor seating. Tucked away on the corner of 4th and Wood.

The food and service is consistently good and is an excellent value. After a day of shopping, sat down to an early dinner.
A complimentary bruschetta with garlic, onions, tomato and olive oil was a tasty start. Basket of bread comes with more of that nice olive oil.

I had a special salad of mixed greens, sliced pears, candied walnuts, a big chunk of gorganzola and a delicious light vinaigrette.
Wife had the arugola salad, served with hearts of palm, roasted pine nuts and a large chunk of warm goat cheese
Both salads were perfect and good sized portions.

Entrees were Gnocchi Bolognese which were light pillows of potato filled goodness served with their homemade slow cooked meat sauce.
Other entree was the whole Bronzino which was fileted tableside and came with mashed potatoes and broccoli with tomatoes.
We also split a side of yummy garlicky broccoli rabe.
Both entrees and sides were delicious.

With dinner we had a 2005 kosta Browne Pinot which went well with the food. We get down to Philly several times during the year and Radicchio is certainly one of our favorite restaurants.
Here is a link to their site for more information.
