Quick Review - Trabuco Oaks Steakhouse

took the parents and family to this place and had a great time. unpretentious and the service unobtrusive - yet attentive. i don't recall the corkage, but the prices were a value and the meat was up to snuff to that of taylor's (on a very good day) if not even better (definitely better than your chain restaurant steaks). my rib eye was cooked rare as ordered and was very flavorful. beans (as others have said) are not all that great, but those fries - great and crispy.

had one of their signature desserts, the "gizmo" which is like a blintz but really involves a deep fried tortilla - pretty good.

i would recommend it - the drive at night can be a bit crazy - but other than that, it's a great spot.
