Quest For The Best Garlic Bread

Hughlipton | Oct 20, 2008 05:14 PM

My memory banks tell me the best garlic bread I ever had in my life was at Edna Earle's Fogcutter on La Brea about 40 to 50 years ago. I really don't recall when they closed that wonderful establishment. Some friends of mine and I our now on a quest for the best garlic bread in Los Angeles. Our first stab was at Anna's in Westwood (?????) on Pico. The bread was wonderful but missed the buttery goodness of Edna Earle's. Our next trip will be to The Smokehouse whose garlic bread is legendary. I would love to hear other suggestions.
